Simone Yeomans, PhD, LMFT, Founder and Owner of SY-YOUR STILLNESS

Simone was fortunate to have discovered stillness in her early years. Stillness was built into her daily routine: her family lived outside a small town near Dresden in East Germany, on top of a hill in the middle of a forest with mountain ranges on three sides. Together with her sister, she walked every day through the woods on her way to school and back; sometimes through knee-high snow and freezing cold, other times over strong, moss-covered roots lining the forest floor where every step released a calming and assuring scent of fullness and joyful giving. Her childhood moved in slow motion through nature with countless hours of simply being.

Understanding nature intimately became an innate ability that she learned was not as common in the urban world. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, she came to the US to study and began to intentionally experience a variety of meditation practices and energy healing modalities. After a long journey of searching that included earning two Master’s degrees and a PhD in Literature, a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology, more than a decade of clinical work as a Marriage/Family Therapist in private practice, a beautiful family with three children and and four decades of stillness practice, Simone returned to what she had understood in her early years: that meditative stillness is a journey and a practice, a vast and limitless realm that we can draw from every day, no matter where in our personal journey we are. It is the language of our soul.

It is her deepest wish to finally share and teach her understanding of meditative stillness practice with the world, including you. Simone teaches Meditative Stillness classes as well as retreats for teens/students and adults on Stillness for Mental and Emotional Well-Being, From Silence into Stillness as well as courses on Inner Child Connection, and Conscious Dreaming. She is a public speaker and teaches mindfulness at schools.
